Farwest currently has an opening for a Director of Human Resources.  This position is based at our Eugene, Oregon headquarters.

Position Purpose:  To recommend, develop and implement Human Resources services and support to the Farwest executive team, management and employees.  Position reports to the CEO.


Major Duties:

  • The Director is responsible for leading a team of HR, payroll, and safety personnel.
  • Collaborate with the executive team in creating and communicating strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with executive and management teams on HR related matters.
  • Develop and oversee companywide recruiting and onboarding programs.
  • Recommend, implement and maintain competitive compensation strategies and programs.
  • Review employee benefit programs.Oversee program changes and enrollment.
  • Manage escalated complaints, conduct investigations, coach managers, ensure adequate documentation and follow up.
  • Research and ensure compliance with new and existing federal and state labor and employment laws and regulations.
  • Source and manage professional service providers.


Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

  • BA/BS degree in Human Resources or closely related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of best practices in all aspects of Human Resources, payroll administration and safety.
  • Ability to think strategically while executing at a detailed level.
  • Ability to identify, plan and execute large complex projects.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively influence business partners at all levels.
