Job Type: Full-time, Onsite
Schedule: Day, 6:00am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday
Wage: $18.50 to $23.25, depending on experience
To safely and accurately operate and maintain rebar fabrication and material handling equipment in a team environment. The common goal is to service our customers while maximizing the utilization of materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficient operation of the rebar equipment (Bender, Shear, Spiral, Cranes, Bandsaw) by challenging the capabilities of the machine and maximizing the utilization of material producing cost effective services. Constantly follow all safety policies and standard operating procedures at all times.
- Maintain machines by performing preventative maintenance as needed. Assure maximum up time, and report defective material or equipment.
- Ensure a safe and productive work place through actively participating in safety meetings, team meetings, and promotion of lean initiatives.
- Communicate-train and work with warehouseperson and warehouseperson trainee to help maximize their knowledge in production.
- Help other operators at other machines to help increase process flow or by assisting them in performing quality checks in all areas.
Qualifications:
- GED or high school diploma optional.
- Previous rebar warehouse preferred.
- Make mathematical calculations.
- Communicate verbally with customers and other coworkers.
- Fill in for other positions as needed.
