About this position:

Starting Wage: $63,000 - $80,000, depending on experience
Farwest’s Post Falls location, seeks a driven and dependable individual to join their team as Outside Sales representative I. In this role, you will drive sales growth by providing tailored service solutions and product offerings from all divisions of Farwest Steel. This role is responsible for managing customer relationships through prompt and accurate quoting, order processing, and proactive communication. By leveraging deep product knowledge and cross-departmental collaboration, the Outside Sales Representative ensures exceptional customer satisfaction, maximizes business opportunities, and supports the overall success of the sales team.
Key Responsibilities for this role include:
- Responsible for receiving incoming calls and all data entry of customer quotes and orders.
- Thorough review and verification of customer specifications to ensure accurate quoted prices.
- Maintain up to date knowledge on current inventory levels in order to appropriately convert quotes to orders.
- Educate customer on depth of services and scope of current inventory in all Divisions of Farwest Steel Corporation.
- Communicate processing capabilities and expectations to customers and outside vendors.
- Timely follow up on all quotes and orders regarding feedback on pricing, quality, and delivery information.
- Interdepartmental communication:
- Communicate with credit department regarding status of customer accounts.
- Communicate with warehouse and operations team members to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Communicate with credit department regarding status of customer accounts.
- Track and acknowledge any changes to orders and verify revisions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma required
- Higher education in a related field.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Experienced with computers and data entry.
- Proficient in using professional telephone techniques.
- Understanding of basis mathematical calculations.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as a problem solver as well as work within a team environment of diverse individuals.
- Courteous professional conduct with both customers and coworkers.
- Ability to adapt to different social settings and situations.
- High attention to detail and ability to maintain focus.
