Farwest Steel Corporation is seeking applicants for the position of Branch Operations Manager for the Post Falls, Idaho branch.
The primary purpose of the position is to provide leadership and guidance to the work of the warehouse. Key deliverables include management of all facility production operations, development of production employees, applying Lean principles through continuous improvement, facilitating communication between Divisions, branches, corporate departments, sales and customers; and ensuring safe work practices. The position is responsible for department P&L (profit and loss) and development and implementation of work strategies to ensure profitability and market growth.
Candidates must have prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, a proven ability to work in a dynamic work environment, ability to manage multiple tasks at once, a proven ability to develop business and strategic plans and solid computer skills using the suite of Microsoft Office tools. Must be knowledgeable and have experience with crane operation, metal processing, material handling equipment, trucks and delivery drivers. Candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to effectively schedule workflow and have knowledge of safety and OSHA regulations. Candidate must have proven ability to work independently requiring little day to day work direction. Must be able to implement employee development strategies.
Candidates must have high school diploma or GED. Preference given to candidates with a college degree or advanced courses in manufacturing or engineering.
